Pla ra or pla daek is a traditional Lao and Thai condiment produced by fermenting fish with rice bran and or roasted rice flour fermenting in salt in a closed container for at least six months.
It is very popular in the Southeast Asian region, commonly used in Lao, Thai and Cambodian cuisines.
